You can either learn a lot in that period of time, or you can learn very little, depending on what exactly happens to fall into your senses. Some people go their entire lives without understanding simple concepts, and others soak them up like sponges. So what I'm saying here is it's not age that matters, it's mentality, as has been said for many millenia before us.

And about the mentality vs. age topic;
Even if you're a sponge or a stone, all people usually have an "adult" side (aka old) and one "child"-like side (aka young).
At least I find this conspicuous when I talk to people who are very different from me in personality.
And which side is more distinctive might differ from who you talk to, which again leads to that you might seem "young" to some, while really "old" to others.
Also, spending much time with people who are much older or much younger might have something to say about the young/old mentality, as it's easy to unconciously start copying the people around you (at least if you spend a lot of time with the same people).
But yet, I think that even if it's possible to switch between young and old in personality, it'll be tiresome and forced if you have to do it for long and originally don't act on that level. So the "age" you act when you feel the most calm and free is probably your "ideal" age; the age you really feel you are (even if you don't know it).
Thus, childish people might actually be sponges, even though they might seem a bit stupid and naive, while very adult-acting people, might in fact be stones and seem more age-wise than what they really are.

2008-01-08 [Killopkie]: Oh yes, there is also the matter of the time period in life where your physical body begins to mature, this also being your brain, like the time from roughly 1-20. That does have some differentials when it comes to such matters, does it not?
It kind of seems like it can't be known for sure because the other fact that not everyone grows the same. Kind of puts an end to the discussion, doesn't it? Correct him if he has faltered.
